Jean Chatsky

I personally love Jean Chatsky because of the personal finance advice that she gives. Since she is an expert of personal finance, I feel like I can take some of her advice to heart because I love the answers that she gives to everyone but mainly women that she empowers for personal finance.

For example, I got two of her books and if you are wondering if they were any good, they were pretty good in my opinion. Such as Make Money, Not Excuses as well as Pay It Down. She is in competition of Suze Orman but I believe that they would be good friends since they are an expert in this area.

If you are a woman and want some financial advice, this lady seem to know where you are coming from because she had been there done that kind of thing. What I can see was that she is a mom just like I am which makes it where she knows where I am coming from as a parents side of things. Check out www.jeanchatsky.com for some more information about her.

Ing Direct company

If you are thinking about investing, check out Ing Direct. I am personally not investing with them yet but before March 30, 2009 I will be investing some of my money with them. They currently give away $25 on top of what you stick in their company and I think it is a sweet deal. In order to sign up, I suggest that you check out your mail that you do get and see if there is one from Ing Direct.

I know that they are reputable because I had seen them in mangazines such as Money and that can't be beat. No other place I know give you an extra money on top of what you stick in there and get compounded interest on top of the $25 and what you stuck in there.

If you have personal experience investing with them, please let me know. I would appreciate what your opinion is whether it's positive or negative.
Interest on top of what you put in and adding in compounded interest is a wonderful deal.

Avoid Credit Card Debt

I know that most people are unable to because they have no other sources to make their regular payments with and once in a while I think it's ok but think about the high interest if you use them unwisely. For example, there are shopaholics that buy all the time whenever they are at the mall, the stores, etc. Whoever you know that have that syndrome, help them with it because more than likely, they have money problems for the most part. The exceptions are those really rich people that have money to spend but of what I read, most rich people are pretty frugal with their funds.

I first had my credit cards when I was 20 with no credit. I used them as a down payment to a Jeep Grand CHerokee at the time with two cards equaling to $1,000. I was able to pay one of them off using my student loan and the other never gotten paid off yet. But I think it is off of my record.

The point is that if you are going to use your credit card, make sure you are able to pay them all off each month so then you wouldn't take forever to pay it all off due to the interest that they charge. What you can do is to switch to cards where for the introductory interest would be 0%. Just when it is about over, see if you can get a way cheaper interest compare to the other cards that you have there. If you were unable to do that, don't bother staying with the company that won't cooperate if your other cards have better interest rate compare to the newest one that you have.

Accounting Makes The World Go Round

To be honest here, I don't like accounting because it is not one of my strong points when it comes to financial matters. But I am currently taking it so I know it is important to know what your current financial matter is no matter where you are now.
If your goal is to become rich, you have to think how the rich thinks. A lot or all of them are pretty frugal with their money no matter how much they earn.

I personally don't see why having a big BMW should matter since it costs a lot of money to get them. Why not get a BMW that is at least a year or two older than the current models? Despite that they don't have all of the current gadgets compare to the recent vehicles, they are basically good enough as it is when it comes to your own money.

My goal for this year is to make enough so then I can at least get myself a used car. I do not have a car right now but I did have one. Long story short, I ruined the car so bad where I was told it was still good where it would of been easily fixed but I prefer getting a better one.
